I originally drew this with a background with the same medium(colored pencils and ink) and I did the ground with watercolor and RUINED it! Luckily I had scanned a copy before I threw on the background, so maybe someday soon ill draw somethings by hand and photoshop them into the drawing. Or maybe I can photoshop The Field Maiden into a sweet live action photo scene! That would be sick!!!

This is just something i drew up to get my hand back in gear. I took a break from drawing and nearly forgot how to draw. As I was drawing it I couldnt stop thinking of outer space and sci-fi movies. I think the overall design has an aerodynamic feel, like i can just slap this on the side of a giant space ship and it would totally fit, like its a logo or something.

This is a tattoo design for my roommate. He wanted a bunch of roses and a rosary because his moms name is Rose. I felt it looked a bit empty in the middle so im gunna go back and throw something in later on.

This one is for the kid in me. I was taking a jog through a swampy park with a lake by my house, and it was raining realllly heavily. I was listening to some pretty trippy music and the idea for this sorta came to me. I actually got the idea to do a short story about the characters here, Duncan being the main character. Hes the tortoise with the long neck pulling down the branch with the chameleon. They all have names, i just dont remember em all, hahahaahah.

Half-way through my inking process. This was actually my first time inking. I discovered i dont like using any metal tools because the ink just runs right off, so i got some wooden skewers, toothpicks, and bamboo sticks because the absorb the ink and flow realllly nicely. Took me awhile to get used to it, but i got it down. The curves turned out to be my strongest point.

Now the pencils are all done, and im getting ready to ink. I use red instead of graphite but it doesnt smear and get all dirty, plus its a smoother pencil-stroke. I like how light it comes out, too.

Now you can see here its starting to develop, and i got the design of the letters POVI down lightly. Those were alot of fun to design. I like creating a style for letters randomly and seeing how they turn out. Like i said, i just wing it. Originally instead of having leaves/feathers in his hair, i was gunna have him wearing like a wizards cap or a peasant beenie or something, but this had alot more style and flowed with the rest of the piece. The snake is starting to develop here, too. I dont know were that came from really.

So, this image here is the beginning of the process for this design. My buddy Ron sent over the logo he designed, so i took the basic shape of that logo, and applied my imagination to it. Other than the basic shape of the logo, which i probably should have posted but oh well, i sorta just winged it along, erasing and redrawing alot til i got what i wanted. I dont know where i got the idea for the face from.

RAW: Pop Your Culture Event

So this event in Fullerton, at the Cherch Lounge, marks my first ever show. It sort of happened on a whim so i wasnt really prepared. I had no idea how i was gunna display my stuff, but i was lucky enough to run into the own of Bad Influence Tattoo. They just happened to be building a new shop right next to the venue, so they quickly built me this nice display with some dry wall and a few 2x4's right before the show started. There was 2 live bands, a comedy act, a music video premiere, and a freakin fashion show. It was nuts, and after all of that was a DJ and some dancin. Anyways, they put on shows like every other week or so, and ill be doing more in the future( hopefully with a better display). Check out RAWartists.org to see what its all about.

A 7th Dimension Repillian Thief Wizard

This creature I call Lepid, of The Scalescab Tribe of thief wizards. See that orb he grips? He murdered The Greyhound Ironhoof, stole his Orb of Agamemnon and now uses it to his dark advantage. Or...maybe not so dark?

First I drew Lepid in pencil, and shaded with pencil too. After that I went over it with colored pencils and than inkwash and water-colors. Nothin special, but I like the character. I made up that little back story as I typed this, and Greyhound Ironhoof is actually a character I created before. Ill post a drawing of his soul soon :)

This is the final draft of page 4 of Bitter Pill: Speechless. Took me awhile but im starting to squeeze into a style for now. I dont know why but I always have a hard time with backgrounds, even though there so small and simple. Boy, I really wanna color this, but im gunna wait til all the pages are done. And maybe ill continue to stray from digital coloring, and use colored pencils. Hmmm.

Why? Its simple: it was warm, and travel was cheap and easy. Those were the days. Getting thrown out of the shaft and unto the world by the voices of our Fathers , through the mazes of mother Earths cervex and finally, if im able to beat my fellow man, that glorious Lord chamber were I get fed daily, were I take the nurishment of my mother Nature, were I drink the health til im a fat bulbous triple-cell advanced fetus designed in Gods image. Its that maze, that maze with pink walls made of puzzle pieces braking down and around and about, that blues hall web that gets a guy, or girl for that matter, racing for life.

So what am I getting at here? Everyone wants to be a little kid again, because it was so easy, watching Saturday morning cartoons on a rainy day. Yea, I guess what im trying to say is....I remember the earlier days, before the diaper changes and rectal thermometers. The warm days, the the age of swim and float- the sperm-buddy days.

Those memories linger within me con-stant-lee.

My most vivid memory: That other asshole swam up to the moon with me, God, I can remember him saying "Well, it looks like we're going to be twins!". He told me this smiling jubalantly.

Well we hit the walls and I strangled the bastard saying " Theres only room fer one sherif in this here town buddy boy, my greatest apologies!"
To this day I stand by my justification ; Goddamn twins suck.

Thank God im not one.

Piece of Mind: Kidtube Death

Poor kid, banging and kicking and screaming. He'd been sucked into the into the telly.

Literally. Buddha knows how it happened. Lucky thing he didn't end up in the Military Chanel or Cops or something.

His mother dear entered the room, dropped her groceries and tripped ball-sacks over the fact that her darling sunshine was on the boob-tube ( The Price is Right, Dateline NBC, Gangland, Wife Swap, Mearcat Manor, etc etc etc).
She called Husband in anger for not informing her of their sons endeavors, or inviting her to the televised events.

She got no answer of course. Perhaps his cockeyed Haitian mistress turned his phone off. Oh well. So she left a message: " George! I hope your watching the TV right now! Our SON is on it! where are you?!?! Shouldnt you be off work by now?? Dammit George! What the fuck! You told me you'd straighten this goddamn place up! You dont do SHIT around here..." and so on and so fourth. The message continued for about 23 more minutes.

A commercial finally came on. Mother Dear changed the channel, chuckled as her son waddled around the weather room of CNN. What kinna joke is this , she wondered. She changed the Chanel a few times more. The kid got by okay...

So. Theres this new show on Discovery. I kid you not, its no joke man. Mother Dear tried to change the channel before it was too late. But it was too late. See, Mother Dears high blood pressure makes space travel look like spelunking. All that was need to cause a heart attack was all in the title of the show her Sunshine landed on : "Destroyed in Seconds".

Sunshine was riding shotgun in a helicopter piloted by a sweaty dude named Jose, who jabbed and stabbed his arm full of the most potent heroine on the black market today. The helicopter crashed into a golden shopping cart (owned by a brother who referred to himself as Sparkles Delight).

Miraculously , Sparkles Delight and his Golden Shopping Cart survived without a scratch.

Father entered the mess of the living room, Mother Dear hunched across the couch, blood dripping from ears, eyes, nose and such. He grinned. As he turned toward the telly, Haiti Cockeye appeared from behind him.

They both grinned.
"Your plan worked," he said, " Voodoo magic is real, than."
"Yes, darling, of course it is. Now lets get to work on claiming that Life Insurance money your wife had set up".
